VHS to iMovie 09 to DVD?
Hi I am going to get the macbook pro that comes with iMovie 09. I want to start a litle business converting old home movies on VHS to the mac so i can edit them and then put them on DVD. The only thing is i dont no how to get the VHS videos to iMovie. I saw this dazzle thing and that sounded good but it was really expensive and it came with pinnacle studio which i dont need. I want something to plug in th mac not something you have to install internally. Thanks.

You will need an analogue to digital converter.
Most of them come in the form of some software and a set of leads that plug into your VCR then into the USB port on your computer although some use firewire.
I have not used the one in the link below but it is along the lines of my description.
Just Google ‘analogue to digital converter for mac’ and see what you find.

PS Came across the same question in the Mac discussions.

Model 300 is the one to get.
