I a projector for my home, with 2000 lumens, 6000:1 contrast, 720 (original) and a gain of 1.8 Greywolf gray screen. It's great to see day but at night I can see the effect of the silk screen (ESS). The crystals that images that some of us notice unhappy. I thought A second screen is matte white, but I realized that I was losing a little detail. However, the angle of vision is much better for viewing on the sides? Anythoughts? Basically, I thought that if they made a dull gray screen may be the bast idea … but I do not know if the loss was setail matte white or color?
For a light projector that should go to a low gain screen (1.0 or less), you get a better angle view and I think a more agreeable. I did not really mean SSE, SDE, since the first comes from the screen itself, not the projector. I use Stewart Greyhawk screen (gain = 0.8) and have good results with a projector contrast ratio lower than yours, not ESS.
